The TL;DR Version
I’m a creative director, designer, writer, director, improviser and visual storyteller. I have years of experience in soup-to-nuts content creation helping brands tell their stories quickly, visually, and socially.
I like to make stuff.
The “Light Reading Material” Version
For about a decade, I split my time between writing/directing comedy and doing graphic design, marketing, and branding. I helped make some of the first sketches featuring a brand for Funny or Die before the term “Branded Video” was a thing. Thankfully, now that it is, I’ve put aside my double life and made a career of combining experience speaking to brands and audiences.
In 2012 I started Ogmog, a boutique creative agency named by Communication Arts as one of “the country’s leading virtual creative agencies.” In early 2015, I was brought in to help BuzzFeed’s branded video department get off the ground as a lead creative producer.
At BuzzFeed, I led a team making some of the first video ads to ever run on Snapchat. I also creative directed campaigns for brands like Amazon, Google, Comcast, Wendy’s, Taco Bell, Denny’s, Honda, and many others. You can check out a partial list on the clients page. BuzzFeed’s data-driven, test and learn approach has given me first-hand knowledge of how to speak directly to audiences to ensure videos “go viral.”
When I’m not creative directing, I perform improv comedy at UCB with Bangarang!, co-host the Before You Were Funny podcast, go for hikes, build things out of LEGO, and hang out with my fiance and cats.
