LG was looking for a social companion for a broader campaign revolving around their new removable battery phones. Since the problem the replaceable battery solved was that you never had to worry about having a low battery, we presented Low Battery Anxiety (LBA) as if it was a real medical issue.
These quick, punchy spots (produced simultaneously for Facebook and Snapchat) lovingly parody pharmaceutical ads with exaggerated acting, dramatic re-enactments, and general cheesiness. Each tap into a heightened version of a ‘low battery’ moment most of us can relate to, setting up a natural lead into the branded end card.
